The Vinyer, located in Fígols de Tremp in the PallarsJussà, is a family-owned company dedicated to the cultivation of the vineyard and wine making. Before phylloxera reached Catalonia, the PallarsJussà had about 8,000 hectares of vineyard cultivation and was known as the Pyrenean winery. Vinyer has recovered one of these old production areas to plant its vineyards.
The estate is located in an area known as 'els vinyers de Fígols' where, for decades, the town's neighbors grew vineyards. Even today, this area is known by its ancient name. It was, therefore, a suitable place to start this project.
In El Vinyer the harvest is done manually in boxes of 12 Kg. As the winery is in the same farm, the grape arrives in a very short time keeping its organoleptic properties to the maximum.
The climate of the area, with a high thermal contrast between day and night, allows to obtain a grape of high quality for the production of very fresh wines.
