Vila Corona

The Vila Corona cellar is a family-run company. The winery and vineyards are on the same property, located in Vilamitjana (Pallars subzone) within the "Conca de Tremp". It is a new building which dates back to the year 1993, surrounded by 10 hectares of vineyards. Winery features the newest technologies and everything working (deposits, packer...) is stainless steel, except the oak barrels to age our wines. These are the grape varieties we have planted: Chardonnay, Riesling, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Tempranillo, Garnacha and Monastrell.

The climate of this area is Continental Mediterranean influence of the high mountain, given its proximity. The "Conca de Tremp", Pallars Jussà subregion, has a very differentiated microclimate, as they are from a region closed by altitudes ranging between 1,100 and 2,080 m above the sea level. Our vineyards are planted at 500 metres above the sea level. Ground: Stony terraces of the Quaternary (silicates and calcium carbonate) and an average of 75% of silicates, 15% clay and 10% of silt.
